Our AIM BOARD

Conor Smith has a heart for service and teaching. His passion for archery and the outdoors led him to AIM through a God-ordained meeting at the archery range, and he has been on the board of AIM since 2021. As a member of Long Hollow Church he

has taught in men’s ministry, marriage ministry and has led small groups since 2009. Conor is a USA Archery Level 2 instructor and Safe Sport certified. Conor was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He received a degree in Science Education from Belmont University, where he also received honors as an Academic All-American for Belmont Men’s Basketball. In 1993, Conor graduated with his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He joined STAR Physical Therapy in 2000, and now is a partner in the company. He lives in Hendersonville, TN with Sonnie, his beautiful wife of 30 years, and he has two amazing daughters.

Fred Schwarz is a retired Nurse Anesthetist specializing for many years in obstetrical

anesthesia. He has known Matt Newton for several years while also sponsoring AIM mission trips. After seeing Matt’s passion for Christ and archery, Fred became a board member with AIM in 2018. He is a level 2 Certified USA Archery Instructor and

SafeSport Trained. Fred’s passion to win people to Christ has led him to accompany Matt on some AIM trips because he feels it is a great way to reach youth with the Gospel. He has been married to Dee, his wife, for 40 years. He has two living children and one deceased, 4 grandchildren and a great grandson on the way.

Greg Lockwood has been a Board Member for AIM since 2022. For several years prior, he was

an assistant Cub Scout Leader. Greg volunteered numerous times for Cub Scout summer camps across the Chicago suburbs. He also led and assisted with many pack hikes and camping trips. Greg now works as a flight attendant where he is entrusted with assisting unaccompanied minors safely to their families across the country on a regular basis. In 2019, God led Greg, his wife, and his 2 children to Tennessee. His calling to spread the Gospel and his interest in Archery led him to AIM. Greg’s commitment to AIM directed him to intensify his discipline in archery and become educated in AIM Training©️. Greg is a certified Level 2 USA Archery Instructor and is SafeSport trained.

Lynda Lockwood has been a part of the AIM board since 2022. She has worked for years to try to give a voice to children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). She has worked alongside families and students to help guide them in navigating public school systems and laws so they can receive the education they need. She has helped educate parents, teachers, and School Administrators on SLD for the betterment of their

students' education. After moving to Tennessee in 2019, Lynda began praying for more ways to help spread the word of Jesus. God undoubtedly led her family to AIM. Her goal is to continue to spread the gospel and God’s love, while sharing the joy of Archery to children across the country and world. Lynda is USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certified.

Matt Newton is the founder and President of AIM. Since AIM’s inception, he has led archery

camps to Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Romania, Poland and throughout the U.S. After seeing

the results of his unique archery training, Matt created AIM Training© to reach as many young

people as possible with the Gospel through archery. While serving through AIM, Matt is a full-

time archery coach. He is currently a level 3 NTS coach with USA Archery, a certified S3Da

coach and is SafeSport trained. Matt’s passion for missions and teaching archery has led him to

young people in many various demographics, economic statuses, and countries. His pursuit of

learning continues as he is finishing his degree in Ministry at Liberty University where he plans

to pursue his MDiv. He and his wife Jeannie have been married for 25 years and have 3 great

children, Christian, Claire, and Elijah. They reside in Hendersonville, TN.
